The Membership Coordinator works in a team environment with the VP of Membership & Marketing, Director of Membership and Membership Manager, to help achieve membership recruitment, retention, and engagement goals.
Process renewal, new and reinstated membership payments
Follow-up on declined credit card payments
Database changes/revisions/updates to member records as requested on renewal invoices
Data cleanup/review, including communication logs
File all membership payment forms
Update/add employees to company rosters
Maintain branch listings, includes adding, deleting and updating branch rosters
Assist members with login credentials
Manage student memberships, assist schools in getting students signed up for membership and events
Merge, print and coordinate mailing of renewal invoices
Merge, print and coordinate mailing of termination letters
Send out end-of-month renewal emails & voicemail blasts
Manages LinkedIn join requests
Coordinate and execute mailings to new members, handwritten notecards with welcome gift and new member kit
Inbound/outbound calls to prospective members
Input prospective members into database and generate weekly prospect letters
Research ideas for new recruitment campaigns
Provide weekly new membership report to CEO and Director of Membership
Respond in a helpful, timely and courteous manner
Track department supplies, such as brochures and other membership items and orders printed items when needed
Travel to industry shows/conferences and serves as representative for the association, when necessary
Assist with answering incoming calls, answering questions, and filtering inquiries to appropriate staff members
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business preferred and 2-4 years related experience.
Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues

Communicates clearly, fluently and knowledgeably with members, vendors and prospects
Proficient in the use of all forms of media including social and industry sites, industry-related software, computer, copier and other office equipment.
Work in an environment of pressure in an organized and professional manner.
MS Office Suite required
Database experience required (iMIS preferred)
