What you'll do:
Social Media Management
Manage RSNA journal social media presences on Twitter and Facebook. Manage posting and responding on all channels.
Develop and manage journals social media content and editorial calendars on a monthly basis, reflecting business needs, initiatives and organizational marketing priorities throughout. Collaborate with graphics designers to create impactful visual messages for Twitter and Facebook.
Manage paid posting initiatives and works with marketing team to create campaigns to support marketing goals.
Monitor social media conversations and actively participates in relevant discussions. Provide customer service as necessary.
Monitor journal account social media analytics and develops status reports; use knowledge gained to identify trends and industry-leading practices to apply new thinking and innovation to RSNA journals social media programs. Gather insights and market research related to RSNA journal customer needs and habits and current events. Actively seek out new audiences to engage with RSNA journals on social media.
Propose and launch new social media tactics and channels that suit RSNA marketing objectives.
Collaborate with other social media team members on broader RSNA social media efforts including initiatives surrounding the RSNA annual meeting.
Maintain frequent communication with journal editorial board members. Act as point of contact for social media-related inquiries from editors.
Work with journal editorial boards and other committees as needed to gather insights on goals, audiences, content and key messages. Share industry trends, best practices, and strategies to meet goals. Attend meetings or conference calls as requested to report on social media activities.
Engage with RSNA Board members on social media-related inquiries.
Write copy for social media platforms and marketing pieces, including websites, PowerPoint presentations, reports and other marketing projects as assigned. Maintain organizational voice and brand standards in marketing and communications.
Help maintain quality control of marketing pieces by serving as a proofreader on projects as assigned.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or journalism required
3 - 5 years relevant professional experience in marketing environment
Professional experience with paid and organic social media required; agility to adapt to new platforms as they come online
Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
Ability to use excellent judgment in enhancing and safeguarding RSNA's image in all social media outreach
Ability to maintain high standards of professionalism while interacting with physician volunteers and staff at all levels
Ability to develop productive professional relationships
Demonstrates knowledge of analytical and scheduling tools and ability to present summary reports for analysis
Professional writing experience, preferably in healthcare; ability to write for various channels including social media, email and web and various audiences
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills; previous experience with AP style and in-house style guides
Experience in community management and customer service
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and react quickly to new or changing information
Keen attention to detail and accuracy
Must be available to work the RSNA annual meeting
