The Senior AMS Data Analyst supports the Member Services Department by ensuring that data and reports in the Personify database have integrity and validity. The Association Management System (AMS) supports all business processes for the organization and all membership and customer-facing activities.
This position runs reports to validate data, and manages cleanup processes. Creates reports and queries for regular or ad hoc usage as they relate to membership, membership dues, and membership renewal. Analyzes data, performs calculations and identifies and resolves key barriers/problems. Provides reports and data assistance to ASA staff, member leaders, and committees and components.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
Serves as Member Services functional expert for AMS system including Data Analyzer, transactional processes, and data integrity. Works with Member Services and IT to maintain, enhance and upgrade database processes to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness of membership processes and data.
Works with Member Services staff to establish rules for individual and company data capture, including required fields, acceptable values, formatting, and access rights.
Responsible for fulfilling “ad hoc” membership reports and data requests for both internal and external customers. Establishes regular, automated, reporting systems when possible. Prepares reports that enable staff to make actionable decisions.
Analyzes data for trends, insights, accuracy.
Performs regular quality control reviews on membership data to assure the maintenance of high quality data. Corrects data in database as necessary.
Responsible for annual renewal billing for all ASA members. Updates membership product codes, creates control reports, coordinates data validation with Accounting and IT, and serves as lead in the renewal invoice project.
On a regular basis, generates updated reports to track membership recruitment and retention progress. Supports, develops and enhances component reports.
On a monthly basis, processes ASA publication mailing lists (Anesthesiology/Monitor) and generates membership kit data files.
Participates in appropriate project teams related to the AMS. This includes enhancements to system features, integrations, reporting, and any other related projects.
Provide oversight to the Mailing List Rental Program.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
Minimum 4 years of work experience in related field; medical association experience desirable.
Previous team lead or supervisory experience required.
Experience working with AMS systems required. Personify highly preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook and other productivity focused tools.
Knowledge of relevant statistical and reporting software tools.
Experience in data analysis and the preparation of data reports.
Well-developed quantitative analysis skills.
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on producing quality, error-free work.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with members and co-workers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
