Responsible for managing customer service and member relations for Children's Community Physicians Association (CCPA). Assists with member communication initiatives through email blasts, newsletters, creation of marketing materials, and other CCPA publications. Ensures the timely credentialing and recredentialing of all CCPA members and initiates the agreements on behalf of CCPA physicians to managed care plans.
Essential Job Functions:
Tracks membership totals and updates member information in the department database; implements an annual questionnaire to obtain updated information from member practices; assists with a variety of other member mailings and administrative tasks.
Manages CCPA’s practice management program by assembling practice management tools and resources for physicians and collaborating with partner vendors to develop materials and training webinars /videos for CCPA’s website.
Administers annual membership survey and tracks responses; disseminates survey information to internal staff, and board members; and uses survey results to identify and provide recommendations for ways to better meet the needs of members.
Initiates the managed care credentialing and recredentialing process with new and existing physician members. Ensures all incoming physician applications are complete and works with the Medical Staff Office to ensure physicians are credentialed for medical staff privileges in a timely manner.
Serves as a point of contact for CCPA physicians regarding participation in managed care contracts and reimbursement issues. Assist in maintaining all contracts and is a contact for physicians for any information required on fee schedule analyses, rates or terms. Works with managed care companies to resolve issues on behalf of CCPA practices.
Assist with the newsletter production, content and resources, and completes first edit of submitted articles by contributing authors.
Design and updates marketing flyers and mailers for programs and services as needed. Coordinates multi-vehicle member renewal, retention and services communications (including print, e-mail, telephone, and fax), as well as review member data for accuracy.
Increase CCPA’s brand in the community by regularly visiting CCPA practices to discuss and communicate CCPA programs and members’ benefits, determine members’ needs, and follow up to provide requested information.
Supports the overall goals and objectives of the organization and team by assisting with other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration, communications, journalism, marketing or equivalent experience required.
2-5 years of professional work experience in managed care, credentialing, healthcare setting or medical association preferred.
Possesses superb communication and interpersonal skills and excellent writing, editing, presentation, problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
Exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to anticipate both organizational and member needs.
Demonstrates strong customer service, maturity and judgment to effectively work well with physicians, other medical professionals, office administrators, and outside vendors.
Ability to work independently or in a team setting; takes initiative to complete tasks and projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
