The Executive Manager ensures:
IAP2 USA is meeting the needs of its members and non-members by managing organizational operations.
IAP2 USA is financially viable.
The Board of Directors is trained and guided.
Contract staff and contractors are managed and paid.
Activities are in accordance with and supportive of the implementation of the Strategic Plan and IAP2 USA Bylaws.
Support the Board of Directors, contract staff and contractors and volunteers by tracking their actions, advising, guiding and providing structure.
Oversight and disposition of all member concerns.
Manages annual Board of Director Officer elections from nominations to selections.
Schedules and coordinates all phases of Orientation for new Board Members.
Prepares materials for and reviews status updates with President twice monthly.
Prepares materials for and attends status meetings with Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Reviews and updates Governance, Policies and Procedures annually in collaboration with the Board Secretary and other staff.
Schedules and coordinates face to face Board of Directors meetings held twice a year.
Provides support for IAP2 USA committees and programs.
Leads and executes, with support of staff, all aspects of program development, budget preparations, pre and post program communications, evaluations, and reporting for ongoing programs.
Manages staff providing support on organization emails, memberships, Chapters, Finance and Communications.
Coordinates in house training programs.
Travel is necessary for two face to face board meetings annually, one of those meetings is paired with the annual Skills Symposium and another is paired with the annual North American Conference. Other travel may be required on occasion.

Work is to be performed remotely in a work environment that provides a secure internet connection and a private environment conducive for phone calls and online meeting work.
Candidate must also supply own phone (with long distance calling plan), computer and printer and other office machinery necessary to conduct the business of IAP2.
Seven years of experience and skills:
Expanding a nonprofit’s funding to include not only membership fees and event revenue but also grants, strategic partnerships, revenue generating activities like training programs, and more.
Familiarity with the established first steps for an entering executive manager to include:
Review and revise the Strategic Plan.
Establish a positive and strong relationship with the board.
Meet with key stakeholder groups.
Support and build the team as required
Working independently using professional judgement and experience to guide decision-making.
Demonstrated success managing associations through change and elevating them to the next level.
Possess a blend of nonprofit management and public participation experience, including experience working in a participatory environment that required collaborative multi-stakeholder engagement.
Possess excellent soft skills, including collaboration, cooperation, ability to relate to others, active listening skills, patience, flexibility and good judgement.

Proficiency with GoToMeeting, Google, Basecamp, Wild Apricot (preferred)
Expertise to continue planning for and supporting the growth of membership
An appreciation and knowledge of IAP2 USA
Association management knowledge preferred

High attention to detail and organizational proficiency
Excellent time management skills; proven track record of delivering on time

Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: The Executive Manager will be paid Hourly $55/hr not to exceed 60 hours per month.
