The American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) is currently searching for a Director of Corporate Development. If you answered yes to the questions above, this may be the position for you!
The Director of Corporate Development will lead the Association’s efforts with corporate industry in a manner that benefits AADE and enhances our relationship with industry partners. Leads Association-wide efforts related to the analysis, planning and execution of AADE’s corporate development goals to maximize revenues while ensuring consistency within the larger scope of AADE’s strategic plan and direction.
As member of the management team, facilitate operational and strategic activities to maximize AADE’s corporate relationships. On an annual basis, assess short-term and long-term needs and develop specific financial goals and objectives.
Expand engagement with industry partners to identify opportunities to expand AADE’s corporate relationships and sponsorship programs.
Partner closely with the Directors of Advocacy, Member and Volunteer Engagement, Practice and Content Development, Accreditation/Content Development, Education, and Marketing and Communications to identify new sponsorship opportunities that are appropriate for corporate support, develop programs, secure funding, and ensure annual funding goals are met.
Oversee collaboration of internal and external stakeholders to develop and secure appropriate industry funding opportunities to ensure annual conference funding goals are met.
Baccalaureate degree in business administration, marketing, communications, healthcare or related field required.
Minimum of five to seven years of management experience preferred; with demonstrated successes in corporate development and executing plans to further strategic business initiatives of organization.
Must have demonstrated experience developing and implementing annual and multi-year strategic business plans, and meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
Prior supervisory experience.
Ability to direct and oversee programs and events; experience working with cross functional teams and providing effective direction to achieve program goals and deliver results. Formal project management experience a plus.
Prior experience working in a non-profit organization or association preferred.
