DESCRIPTION: This position provides assistance to the Director of Publications, Project Manager, and Managing Editor, Publications to ensure timely, high-quality publications and online course materials.
Assist in publication and post-publication activities
Manage the ePublishing and Kindle process of all books
Manage the copyright assignment forms with authors
Serve as project manager for assigned publications
Assist in developing formatting specification sheets for online course materials
Maintain relationship with vendors
Ensure translated materials are consistent with the English version
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or Journalism
Strong organizational skills
Strong interest in learning publishing and medical editing
Exceptional proofreading, grammar, and copyediting skills
Must be detail oriented
Internship or work on a school paper/magazine helpful
