The purpose of this job is to serve our members, customers, and co-workers.
This position assists the marketing department in coordinating marketing plans. Provides support, coordination and input with analyzing member and event data and campaign results to identify key target growth segments. Handles basic web updates and maintenance of Postgraduate Fellowship Directory. Maintains inventory and is responsible for department scheduling, vendor invoices and payments.
General Activities 50% of Time
Ensures timely payment of invoices to vendors through project log tracking and check requests. Maintains contact with vendors to ensure deadlines are met and that all information is accurately exchanged.
Performs administrative duties such as external vendor meeting scheduling and coordination.
Maintains information in project management software to ensure deadlines are achieved and expenses are captured and tracked per membership project.
Maintains inventory log of marketing collateral.
Coordinates the Student Scholarship program including overseeing logistical details with the application process and promotional development. With the assistance of the SVP Member Services, coordinates with the internal scholarship committee to select the winners.
Coordinates promotional communications to Student Associates, encouraging their conversion to full Member status.
Assists with Student Orientation Session presentation at Congress.
Coordinates programs, products and services related to the Early Careerist Network and related marketing initiatives.
Coordinates logistical details with Early Careerist Breakfast program at Congress.
Provides support with coordinating and delivering Early Careerist-focused chapter programs.
Leader to Leader Program Activities 20% of Time
Coordinates program marketing plan with direction from Director of Product Marketing. Assists with marketing aspects related to the Leader-to-Leader and award winner recognition.
Fulfills monthly Leader to Leader reward orders with vendor and communicates order issues to Director of Product Marketing.
Data Collection and Coordination 20% of Time
Collaborates with Data Analyst to collect and analyze data as a basis for recommendations for process improvement and membership growth trends.
Refines online applications in collaboration with IT.
Trade Show Coordination
Completes pre-show and post-show marketing forms and acts as liaison with trade show association and exhibition Logistics Company – including collecting and submitting membership materials for ACHE staff exhibitor.
Completes forms for booth setup, logistics, registrations and other operational tasks related to trade shows, including the Member Services Booth at the Congress on Healthcare Leadership.
Maintains annual exhibit schedule and collects key results and staff expenses for the Member Services Campaign Activity Report.
Postgraduate Fellowship Activities 10% of Time
Coordinates the postgraduate fellowship marketing plan and tactical plan.
Coordinates and disseminates promotional messages by market segment, including students and healthcare administration graduate program faculty.
Provides substantive and customized email and telephone support to preceptors and students seeking information on postgraduate fellowships.
Coordinates and implements the online Directory of Fellowships in Health Services Administration.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT AREAS
Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, healthcare management, business administration or related field.
Must have strong customer service orientation.
Minimum of two years in communications, customer service, association management or healthcare management.
Membership marketing experience preferred.
Must have excellent writing skills.
Must be well organized and detail-oriented.
Must have strong verbal communication skills; able to communicate knowledge and concepts clearly and diplomatically.
Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, membership database. Experience with Higher Logic preferred.
Must have a strong team orientation.
Must be a self-starter.
Must possess sound judgment, discretion, and a high degree of professionalism.
Must have regular and predictable attendance.
Must take initiative.
Ability to memorize a wide variety and type of information.
Ability to travel.
