The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is the global certification leader in the cleaning and restoration industry. Established in 1972 to set and promote high standards and ethics within the inspection, cleaning and restoration service industries and to advance communication and technical proficiency.
IICRC also provides a forum for the exchange of information between all sectors of cleaning, inspection and restoration industries and continues to promote the science of cleaning and restoration. The IICRC has no members, it has registrants. The IICRC is a certification organization and technician registry. It creates course outlines and exams leading to certification in numerous technical categories.
The IICRC Certification Coordinator is a full-time employee who assists the Exams Manager with administering the Institutes certification related activities, serves as a liaison to IICRC technical advisory committees, and provides administrative support to the committees in the development of certification and education programs and processes. This is a remote position with preference for candidate residing in the Chicago area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the scheduling and necessary follow up of all Committee meetings (approx. 38)
Schedule and attend Go To Meetings to track attendance and participation, and develop meeting minutes (some meetings occur after 5pm CT)
Input student exam response data
Maintain administration processes related to the development of certification exams, such as participating in exam development calls with industry experts and make requested changes on screen in real-time.
Update and maintain YM (database) Certification information, including assigning appropriate members, uploading required documentation,
Perform all tasks related to finalizing exams, e.g., formatting, creating answer key, etc.
Manage the process to translate exams.
Maintain program documents, procedure manuals, and
Assist to ensure all activities and requirements are met for a successful certification program launch, e.g. approvals, reviews, etc.
Provides support to the Manager of Exam Development
Other duties as assigned
3+ years' experience in MS Word formatting documents.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years of work experience.
Experience in working with volunteers.
Ability to communicate effectively – written and oral.
Expert knowledge of MS Office products.
Ability to travel if needed.
Ability to perform tasks in a professional manner in a telecommute environment.
Telecommuting is allowed.

The IICRC is the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, a non-profit organization for the cleaning and restoration industry.
The IICRC is managed by its Board of Directors, which is comprised of 15 industry leaders elected by the IICRC’s Shareholders. The Board of Directors’ function is to represent the various interests of the Registrants while leading the direction of the organization. The Board of Directors meets four times per year and is tasked with the responsibility of helping shape future policies of the organization and uphold the standards that help shape the industry.
