The Compressed Gas Association, Inc. is seeking a candidate who is highly self-motivated, professional, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to join our team as a Committee Administrator. The selected candidate will manage our technical committees responsible for the development of technical safety standards, educational programming, regulatory communications, and more in support of the Association's safety mission. CGA is a leading authority on technical and safety information for the industrial, medical, and food gases industry in North America and around the world. We maintain a library of 350+ industry safety publications and work a network of volunteer committee members to support the continuous advancement of industry safety. For more information, please visit www.cganet.com. Principal Functions: - Manages all aspects of assigned committee and related working group activities including:
- scheduling and organizing meetings,
- developing agendas,
- ensuring adherence to the agenda and CGA policies,
- recording minutes,
- providing project status updates,
- ensuring that committee work is prioritized appropriately and progressing on schedule, and
- communicating with committee members.
- Provides in-depth editorial review of technical publications developed by CGA committees. Advises committees on topics such as correct grammar, document flow, and adherence to publication writing guidelines. Manages publication approval process.
- Assists with the development of educational programs such as seminars, webinars, safety posters, and eLearning modules.
- Plans, coordinates, and implements special projects as needed to support CGA's mission and operational objectives.
- Maintains relational databases and work with other information systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - At least 3 years of experience in similarly related job functions.
- College degree preferable.
- Excellent editing skills; previous experience editing technical documents a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and data entry into relational databases. Experience with Visio or AutoCAD a plus.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing deadlines and priorities.
- Ability to travel up to 10% - 20% of the time.
