PROTOCOL is a developer education platform and resource center hosted by Data Catalyst Institute to raise the standard for data use, management, and security. PROTOCOL serves as a GitHub of data practices, enabling developers to find specific answers to discrete questions or more generally educate themselves on good data practices. Content hosted on PROTOCOL is platform agnostic and locally applicable. It includes original resources produced by Data Catalyst, guides and best practices contributed by the world’s leading platforms, and open sourced materials collected from the developer community organized around an academic curriculum structure for maximum efficiency.
The Program Director will oversee the development, launch, and content management of PROTOCOL. The program director will be expected to lead curriculum development, vendor/freelance management, marketing and user engagement. Community management experience with third-party developers or within the tech sector broadly is preferred. Deep passion/interest in issues surrounding the data economy is required.
The Ideal Candidate Possesses:
Minimum of 5 years of proven, successful experience in developing and leading education/training programs
Strategic and innovative self-starter
Experience and comfort working with autonomy
Proven track record in creating content with external vendors and freelancers
Experience managing the logistics and business side of education programs
Experience working with developers and/or knowledge of data management issues
Organization is based in Washington, DC but will consider remote candidates.
