As IFMA’s Social Media and Content Manager, you will play a lead role in elevating the association’s international profile as a leader in the facility management profession. Responsible for developing and implementing a global social media and outreach strategy, you will also measure and report back on the success of the association’s social media and content marketing efforts.
Working with the Marketing and Communications (MarCom) team and various departments, you will use your talents to tell the IFMA story using a variety of mediums including video through appropriate digital channels. You will use your experience and knowledge to leverage trends, to deliver relevant, innovative association messaging to the FM industry.
Collaborates with members of the MarCom team to develop social media content and implement campaign plans.
Develops connections across the association to identify compelling stories and content about activities, member benefits/services, and thought the leadership that engages with the targeted or broad-based audience.
Writes content and social media posts that drive traffic and invite engagement.
Provides copywriting and editing assistance as needed across departments, including emails, web content, newsletters, social media posts; and proofreading FMJ Magazine, to help ensure accuracy and quality
Willingness to work independently or as a team member on special projects that may occur within the Membership, Events, and/or Professional Development departments.
Works cross-functionally with creative services and technology teams to use video and other media to tell stories.
Develop and execute campaigns that drive engagement.
Identify opportunities to share content with partner organizations to drive additional business objectives.
Identify opportunities to positively expand the broader industry, associated industries, and public awareness of the association
Monitor performance of social media, web content, and campaigns and develops periodic performance reports (Google Analytics, platform insights, and various social listening tools)
Demonstrate a passion for the power of content social media marketing, with a keen eye towards innovation and continuous improvement.
Ability to manage and prioritize numerous tasks with the agile and quick attention to the most important, and resourcefulness of problem-solving.
Strong work ethic and self-starter mindset to “own” the job responsibilities independently

3-5 years’ experience developing and delivering compelling content in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Four to five years of hands on experience in social marketing campaigns
Excellent communication, writing, project management, analysis, presentation, cross-functional collaboration and relationship building skills
Possess web analytics/social listening knowledge and experience in pulling reporting, measuring campaign performance and analyzing metrics to support overall social strategy
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Publisher; Outlook)
Knowledge of establishing and maintaining social media sites and blogs; data analytics; and websites. (Google Analytics, platform insights, and various social listening tools)
