The Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors National Trade Association has an immediate opening for a part time (20 hours per week) Human Resource Specialist. This HR generalist role shall manage and direct the human resources strategy of the organization. The HR Specialist shall have management oversight of recruitment, staff and organization development, performance planning and evaluation, compensation, benefits, training and compliance with employment laws.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate practical skills in recruiting and staffing logistics; performance management and improvement systems; organization development; regulatory compliance ?and reporting; employee orientation, development, and training; policy development and documentation; employee relationship management; committee facilitation; company-employee communication; compensation and benefits administration; and employee safety, welfare and wellness education. Candidate will have 5 years of applicable association management experience.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or organizational development required. Coursework in business, psychology, communication, and human resource management. Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, or preventive labor relations highly desirable. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute is preferred.
