About the Role
BOMA SF seeks an accomplished executive to provide high profile leadership, vision, guidance and strategic direction for the programs and staff of this reputable organization. Based in San Francisco, you will drive initiatives that support BOMA’s mission to advance the commercial real estate industry through advocacy, professional education and workforce development.
This talented and self-motivated individual will be responsible for leading programs to ensure that BOMA is its members’ primary resource for commercial real estate information and education, that the organization delivers diversified services that are a business advantage to members and that BOMA is seen by elected officials as a valued partner in legislative and regulatory initiatives.
You will engage with internal and external audiences to ensure that the organization’s strategic goals are achieved. This role represents the interest of our members and requires someone who can communicate our message and narratives consistently and effectively to a diverse set of stakeholders, including members, community leaders, policymakers, academia and the general public.
This role will lead forward-looking programming efforts and productive growth while keeping our customers, our members, at the center.
Specifics of the Role
Represent the Association in its relationships with other organizations and build strategic alliances with other groups, both not-for-profit and for-profit, to provide new benefits to the Association and its members
Organize, plan and manage all aspects of the Association's relationships with organized labor groups to ensure that member needs are properly served
Plan, coordinate and implement programs to enhance public understanding and acceptance of the industry
Assure development of educational programs to advance the professional & managerial skills of the members and industry professionals at large
Assure the long-term financial integrity and viability of the Association by safeguarding all assets, investments and reserve funds while developing plans and programs to provide fundraising and new revenue streams to the Association
Advocate our policy positions in state and local level executive, regulatory, and legislative settings
Partner with industry leaders, trade associations, civil society organizations, think tanks, and other external constituents to build support for our policy positions
Inspire and foster cooperation of Board, Task Force and Committee volunteers to fulfill the mission of the organization
Lead and develop a team that is responsible for the day-to-day management of programs that serve the needs of our members

You're passionate about shaping the future of our industry and understand the unique challenges of our members, the commercial real estate industry and trade associations and are CAE certified.
You are business savvy and adept at identifying new opportunities and revenue streams despite limited resources.
