Reporting to the Director of Professional Development, the Education Manager leads all continuing education efforts for our association. This position identifies and facilitates content creation for our members; collaborates with volunteers, vendors and development personnel to promote continuing education; establishes, monitors and adjusts continuing education strategies.

HOW YOU'LL SERVE OUR ORGANIZATION
Lead all continuing education courses offered by the association to include webinars, online courses
Identify current hot topics for dental hygienists and ensure development of continuing education content in these areas
Strategically review ADHA current delivery models to ensure they are meeting user needs
Proactively research, recommend and implement new learning technologies and enhancements
Develop, implement and assess the 3-5-year continuing education business plan that supports ADHA strategy and the continuing education needs of our members and customers
Partner with Corporate Development to identify prospective sponsored continuing education opportunities. Work directly with corporate partners on content of sponsored programs to ensure programs are implemented to meet program objectives
Identify and collaborate with other associations on inter-professional continuing education opportunities
Provide consulting, development and/or delivery for state constituent continuing education initiatives
Collaborate, facilitate and manage ADHA's marketing and communication efforts related to continuing education
Support ADHA's collective membership recruitment and retention efforts
Develop and manage special committees, ad hoc workgroups and task forces related to continuing education and present findings as needed
WHAT WE ASK FOR:
5+ years of experience in a healthcare and/or or adult education setting; 3+ years working with a learning management system including course creation/maintenance
Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design or Public Health or related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and familiarity with adult learning theory; understanding of instructional design methodology
Knowledge of SCORM and/or xAPI eLearning standards preferred; experience using course authoring software; knowledge of an abstract management system preferred
Strong leadership and influencing skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with boards, members, volunteers, vendors and cross functional teams
Willingness to pitch in and wear many hats in a lean organization
Willingness to travel as necessary (1% currently)
