What you'll do:
Facilitate operational and strategic planning activities essential to meet the goal of enhancing RSNA's status as a worldwide leader in radiology
Work with the RSNA President, Board Liaison for International Affairs and Board Committee on International Affairs to advance RSNA's international initiatives
Foster positive and productive diplomatic relations with international radiology societies. Identify opportunities to advance initiatives through international partnerships, organize leadership meetings, plan agendas, and maintain communications
Support the activities of the International Advisory Committee, Regional Committees and Committee on International Radiology Education. Oversee the development and administration of international governance structures within the organization. Develops meeting agendas, materials, and other reports on international activities
Work closely with other RSNA departments to maximize the impact of international initiatives including RSNA booth travel, translations of RSNA products, international Spotlight Courses and Country Presents sessions during the RSNA annual meeting
Direct and oversee the International Affairs functions for the RSNA Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting, including international society leadership meetings and the International Trends meeting. Work with Executive Office to coordinate international participation in receptions and events.
Identify, analyze and consult on co-sponsorship activities with other international organizations and meetings. Assist in leadership coordination and development of speakers, programs, and promotion.
Oversee development and execution of market research to identify the location of international Spotlight courses and corresponding topics and other business opportunities in various regions of the world. Consult with the Live Education department to identify international Spotlight Course Directors, appropriate business partners, and pricing. Uses market research to seek out business models and new revenue sources where appropriate.
7 or more years of experience at an association or similar organization, preferably in health care
Experience with international business and culture
Familiarity with global healthcare issues
Experience with market research, data analysis and business planning
Ability to use strategic thinking, good judgment and creative problem-solving to support an organization's mission
Excellent diplomacy and cross-cultural communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment with staff and volunteer leadership
Experience managing and developing staff
International travel to various meetings required
