Growing statewide trade association seeking dynamic individual for key position in membership and professional development.
This staff professional initiates and maintains effective internal and external relationships with members and staff to ensure that the association grows in influence, size and usefulness to its members. This individual organizes and actively manages member recruitment and retention programs, manages professional development programs, and implements services.
Develops and coordinates an annual membership drive
Supports and manages volunteer committees
Develops and coordinates an annual retention program
Works with regional councils to recruit and retain members
Implements education, networking and training programs statewide
Implements certification programs on a statewide basis
Keeps abreast of all education developments on the national level
Researches and recommends speakers for consideration
Maintains a library of education speakers and presentations
Develops and maintains an operating budget for membership and education programs.
Oversees and assists in dues billing and collections
Provides information for publications, website, and social media on membership and education functions
Solicits sponsors as needed for the various educational and membership events
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree and at least 3 years of association management experience. Must be energetic, self motivated and have the ability to work effectively.
