ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Working with the VP of Marketing and outside agency partner, will develop a strong, member-centric brand strategy, including a new visual and brand identity that the entire organization rallies around.
- Prepare, present and sell-in aspects of the brand plan to management, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders.
- Owns the development of key NACD positioning and messaging and elevates the voice of the director through thought leadership and communications.
- Oversees the membership marketing retention and acquisition strategies and execution plans. Works closely with NACD membership Business Development Team and Member Engagement Team to focus experience improvements on those that drive both member and commercial outcomes.
- Manages the overall experience for NACD Directorship 100 awards which recognizes individual directors who serve as role models in promoting exemplary board leadership
- Partners with NACD research and member engagement teams and develops strategic member insights, oversees net promoter score to measure member experience and predict organizational growth.
- Partners with the Product Marketing team and develops and executes a brand and campaign strategy for our certification program.
- Manages one direct report and outside brand agency and creative designer.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration, plus seven years of related marketing experience, including a minimum five years of progressively increasing responsibility in branding experience and/or marketing experience in a membership organization. Supervisory and employee development experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills; can produce effective and engaging marketing copy. Daily demonstration of marketing expertise and proactive, thoughtful strategy. Proven working knowledge of brand standards and marketing best practices. Experience with managing creative projects from concept to execution. Matrix-management experience and demonstrated ability to manage projects on time and on budget. Why Work at NACD?
