Overview
American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women's health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a District Project Manager. The District Project Manager is responsible for managing District activities. Provide support and planning of District and Section meetings. Planning of District communications and publications, events, special committees and projects, and management and training of Section staff. Use data analytics to support project activities. Network and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Make independent judgments to assess, interpret, and respond to the needs of the Fellow and Junior Fellow District and Section officers and members. Cover Letter Required As a result of COVID-19, ACOG employees are working in a temporary remote capacity. This is temporary, and normal business hours and in-office duties will return to normal once federal and state guidelines deem it is safe to return into the office. Employees are expected to return to ACOG's National office located at 409 12th, Southwest Washington DC, 20024.
Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities - Serves as a point of contact and resource for District and Section officers. Develop and maintain productive partnerships with assigned district, vendors, and team members across ACOG. Is available to assist Section staff as needed.
- Lead, plan, implement, and evaluate projects at the direction of the District leadership. Project list is subject to change as activities are completed and member/community needs are reassessed.
- Interact collaboratively on project planning with a variety of department within ACOG including Meetings, Membership, Government Relations, Financial Service Center, and Communications.
- Oversee all aspects of Fellow, Junior Fellow, and Young Physician District Advisory Council (DAC) meetings including but not limited to meeting logistics, identifying and secure speakers, selecting locations, logistical coordination of attendees, timelines, deliverables, stakeholder engagement, preparing meeting materials, and recording and disseminating
- Manage District and Section Provide guidance regarding ACOG Policies and Procedures. Collect and evaluate public health data as needed to assist committees in strategic planning and goal setting.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or work equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience. Project management experience in the health sector required, preferably with a medical association
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or other related software.
- Ability to be self-directed and productive, react calmly and professionally to challenging Must be able to exercise independent thinking and make judicious decisions
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to multi-task and complete assignments in a timely Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines
- Must be able to travel and work extra hours as needed during peak workload periods, which will include some weekends
