The Administrative Assistant serves as support to the Executive Director, Office Manager, Education Coordinator, and assigned committees, ensuring that administrative activities are handled efficiently and effectively.
Provides association members with exceptional customer service.
Provides superior administrative support for staff and assigned committees.
Assists with the preparation and planning of programs/events.
Answers and directs incoming calls.
Greets and directs guests.
Responds to prospective member inquiries.
Processes new member applications (reference checks, welcome letter, database entry).
Attends programs/events, acts as host, registrant, photographer, etc., as needed.
Exceptional verbal and written communications, including basic business writing skills (prepares meeting agendas, minutes, writes quality emails, excellent word processing and proofreading skills).
Professional demeanor and a pleasant personality with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Mail-Merge)
Zoom or similar videoconference platform
Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and having the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Able to lift packages, usually not exceeding 30 lbs.
Flexible work schedule.
Additional Salary Information: Part-time position – 18 hours/week initially (Tue, Wed, Thu – 6 hours/day); increasing to 24-30 hours/week over time; a limited telework option.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Paid vacation and sick time.
