The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing A/P and A/R day to day functions. This position will report to the Senior Director, Finance and is responsible for assisting with monthly bank reconciliations, general ledger analysis, tracking staff PTO balances, annual budget development, and other duties as assigned. Candidate needs an understanding of accounting principles, experience with Word and Excel, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks.
A/P – Manage vendor information in CashPro and GP, process invoices for check/ACH/Wire payments, integrate data at month end from CashPro to GP.
A/R – Sort and make copies of checks, make remote deposits, process payments in Nimble Salesforce, post batches.
Certify – Process staff business expense reports.
Reporting – Run daily detailed report of payments to see CC/ACH/Wire/Check deposits received for different departments.
Collaboratively work with various departments to provide financial, administrative, and clerical support.
Validate invoice coding against the budget and resolve discrepancies.
Research and responds to accounts receivable and payable inquiries.
Assist in reconciling monthly bank statement.
Assist in proof-reading monthly Financial Statements.
Assist Senior Director in preparing general ledger analysis.
Update the staff monthly PTO report and manage smart benefits program.
Prepare 1099 at year end which includes reviewing or updating vendor’s 1099 amount in Great Plains to ensure accuracy. Print and mail copy to the recipient & State. Submit file to IRS.
Other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Finance or CFO.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of experience in accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Dynamics Great Plains GP
Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills
