Position Title: Grants Administrator

Supervisor: Scientific Programs Officer
Organization Description: Founded in 1965, The American Occupational Therapy Foundation seeks to advance the science of occupational therapy to support people’s full participation in meaningful life activities.
General Description of Duties:
Provides administrative support to the Scientific Programs Officer and the AOTF research programs. Provides administrative and logistical support to the Scientific Advisory Council (SAC), Scientific Review Group (SRG), and Academy of Research (AoR). In collaboration with the SPO, designs systems and procedures to facilitate efficiency and productivity of the AOTF research programs.
Examples of Duties
Provides administrative support to the SPO including technical preparation of correspondence and reports.
Serve as the liaison to online provider for the AOTF research grant application process.
Creates, maintains, and updates administrative research filing systems.
In collaboration with the SPO, works with the Director of Communications & Marketing to maintain research web pages as needed.
Provides administrative support of the AOTF grants programs.
Provides administrative support in the planning, execution, and onsite coordination of the AOTF research events at the AOTA Annual Conference.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
At least five years office experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization setting.
Demonstrated proficiency with word processing in a Windows environment.
Prior experience in grants administration and/or research support desired.
This position is a full-time, non-exempt position. Position will be in-person and based at the AOTF headquarters in Rockville, MD. This is NOT a remote position.
