We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Marketing Automation Platform Manager on our Marketing & Membership Experience team. As a Marketing Automation Platform Manager you will lead and manage the ongoing evolution of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) platform for the enterprise by delivering against the defined roadmap deliverables. You will also serve as the Salesforce and Datorama Administrators and provide first level of support, including technical support. You will continually enhance reporting and dashboards to enable enterprise to use data to drive direction of future campaigns, and provide strategic guidance to enterprise marketing partners on improvements to campaign performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Automation
Serve as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator and establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities
Responsible for delivering and communicating on the SFMC roadmap from ideation to launch to ensure ongoing platform evolution; includes meeting multiple deadlines, project management, stakeholder communication, training, and change management
Collaborate in the integration of additional platforms into the marketing automation platform, including integrating and matching new data into our current SFMC data schema
Manage, document and oversee new feature development for SFMC technology stack; define and document development requirements
Serve as the primary (technical) marketing liasion with AMA technical staff and marketing automation service provider; during implementation and release phases, work closely with internal and external parties to determine proper scope of releases, and ensure marketing goals are translated in the tool
Act as first level of SFMC technical support for the enterprise and train users; troubleshoot issues with SFMC and connected software; document issues and resolution/solutions.
Ensure all data integrations are accurate and perform regular audits on data uploads and connections
Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests; test and launch new features and functionality in SFMC in partnership with IT and cross functional business teams
Provide strategic guidance to enterprise marketing partners on improvements to campaign performance
Reporting and Datorama
Responsible for developing Datorama roadmap and delivering against defined deliverables; Serve as Datorama Administrator, SME, and first point of contact for business or technical support
Expand automated reporting out of SFMC; Deliver simple and complex ad-hoc data requests to internal clients
Prepare quarterly performance metrics and insights for review with BU clients, to support Digital Marketing Operations team
Digital Technology Emerging Trends
Evaluate emerging technologies and digital platforms and identify opportunities for continual evolvement with digital marketing
Partner with digital marketing colleagues to ensure strategic and platform cohesion across the entire digital marketing ecosystem
Management & Staff Development
Lead, mentor and provide management oversight for professional staff
Responsible for setting objectives, evaluating performance and developing staff
Identify opportunities for advancing staff skills and expertise
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required concentration in marketing or related degree preferred; Master’s Degree a plus
5+ years’ experience with Marketing Automation Platforms and Salesforce products preferred, specifically Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud. Working knowledge of Email Studio, Content Builder, Cloud Pages, Ad Studio, Journey Builder, AMPscript, HTML, etc. highly desired. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer/Administrator Certificates a plus
Experience with marketing technology architecture and integration patterns, including data migration and integration tools and methodologies required
Experience with database management concepts and best practices; including utilizing and managing large databases
Demonstrated data management experience including targeting and extracting audiences from structured and unstructured data environments, 3 years SQL experience is mandatory; SAS, R, Python a plus
3+ years’ experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects required, working knowledge of Datorama preferred
Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Strong collaboration and project management skills necessary for working with and helping manage internal teams and external stakeholders; proven history of working cross-functionally to drive and deliver results
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, proactive communication required, and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management communicating to both technical and marketing audiences.
Excellent analytical skills, root-causing problem-solving skills, process mapping and data modeling skills
