The Marketing Specialist develops and executes marketing and communications plans for AANA programs, ranging from online programs to in person meetings to grants and scholarships. This individual should proactively monitor campaign data and make necessary adjustments to ensure budget goals are met. Working closely with the Manager of Marketing, Communication and Design as well as the VP of Marketing and Operations, this position will perform marketing tasks from copywriting to plan development to data analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION
Develop and execute the integrated marketing and communication plans for the following programs:
AANA/AOSSM/AAOS Sports Medicine Course
Online Learning – ASAP (both), online CME, DIY Exam, Scope, Virtual APEX courses, various CME packs and others as developed.
Lab Courses – Advanced, Residents, Fellows, Medical School program, SOMOS and other specialty programs.
Manage the budgets, promotion planning, copywriting and copyediting for the above-mentioned programs.
Analyze backend data from platforms to ensure tactics are effective. Supply the Manager and VP with regular data updates and glean insights.
OTHER AANA PROGRAMS
Act as marketing support for AANA research, surveys, membership, fellowships, scholarships, grants and other initiatives.
Assist with email layout in Informz and other processes to execute marketing tactics.
Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree.
Nonprofit and/or association experience preferred.
2+ years of marketing, communication or related experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a general office setting. Position requires availability for extended hours when requested or scheduled. Occasional travel involved – less than 10%.
