The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) is seeking to add an experienced Manager, Educational Programs, to its team of high performing staff.
Position Summary
In this position, you will provide daily program management for professional development initiatives within ADEA's Office of Learning. You will partner with the Senior Director, Faculty Development and e-Learning and other Office of Learning team members as they collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to design and implement professional development programs for ADEA's members.
Primary Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Senior Director of Faculty Development and e-Learning, manages the day-to-day development and maintenance of the ADEA micro-credentialing program. This includes guiding member volunteers on the development of new micro-credentials, recruiting and orientating member volunteers for peer reviews, tracking overall submissions through the learning management system and evaluating programmatic success.
- Provides supplementary support for ADEA eLearn webinars including but not limited to speaker management, registration setup, report generation and live interaction/support with registrants during the events.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director, leads the speaker recruitment, development and production of 2-4 webinars annually focused on professional development of dental educators.
- Oversees the routine update and management of ADEA's learning management system (LMS). This includes creating/updating course pages, general troubleshooting and answering member questions.
- Oversees the routine update and management of ADEA's digital badging system. This includes managing the issuing of badges, general troubleshooting and answering member questions.
- Develops and updates standard operating procedures within assigned projects as needed.
- Collaborates with other members of the Office of Learning to setup the Leadership Essentials for Allied Dental Educators (LEADE) course content within the LMS and provides technical orientation to course facilitators.
- Collaborates with other staff within the Office of Learning and Division of Communications and Membership to develop marketing outreach for Office of Learning initiatives including the ADEA Micro-credentialing Program, digital badges and ADEA eLearn webinars.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional education and experience required.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience, including project and program management.
- Prior experience working in an academic, association or a non-profit environment is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with LMS administration is preferred.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office and videoconference/meeting software.
- Must possess excellent judgment, exceptional organizational skills, and professional discretion with information.
- Attention to detail, deadline orientation and flexibility required. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, confident, proactive and comfortable working independently.
- Poise, tact, and diplomacy, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work successfully in a diverse team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
- The capacity to handle multiple tasks and the ability to remain positive and productive in demanding situations.
- Ability to travel to member meetings to support ADEA events as needed, including some weekends.
- Ability to work at ADEA's DC office as needed.
