The Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) (www.icpi.org) is merging with the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) (www.ncma.org) on July 1, 2022 to create a new unified a North American trade association, representing the concrete masonry and segmental concrete hardscapes industry with a combined budget of over $7.5 million. ICPI-NCMA is seeking a Certification Manager, effective immediately who will manage the operations of the certification programs for the unified trade association. This position will ensure all activities and requirements regarding an the organization's certification programs are met. A key part of this position is to grow the awareness and expand the reach of credentialing programs by working with teams across the association as well as with the respective committees. Manager will also be responsible for maintaining budgets and ensuring these programs meet expectations.
Manage processes, timelines, and exams.
Manage the technology platforms used in application, candidate review, examination, candidate tracking, and maintenance of certification for credentialing bodies.
Manage processes and timelines to support training program accreditation.
Work closely with the Director of Education & Marketing team to grow awareness and management of accreditation.
Assess feedback from respective committees to prioritize enhancements and improvements to application, exam, and candidate tracking processes.
Assess feedback from test-takers and work with committee members to ensure exam content remains a timely representation of respective areas of expertise.
Oversees the development of standards and testing materials.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in maintaining credentialing programs that includes exam maintenance and managing multiple certification programs in a professional or trade association. They will have insight into operational efficiencies and a desire and ability to introduce process improvements. The ideal candidate will have:
3- 5 years’ experience in a professional or trade association focused on credentialing programs or equivalent.
Experience managing certification programs and exam processes is required.
Strong program and project management, interpersonal, and delegation skills are required.
Capacity to execute details while keeping big-picture strategy in mind
Proven ability to develop and launch impactful programs.
Experience working in cross-functional teams with an ability to build consensus among multiple stakeholders.
ICPI-NCMA was formed from the unification of the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) and the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA). This trade association represents the segmental concrete products industry including hardscapes and concrete masonry products. ICPI engages in a broad range of technical, marketing, educational, government relations, and communications activities. Membership consists of manufacturers, design professionals, contractors and suppliers of products and services related to the industry.
