Then this job might be right for you. Our new position, the AMS Administrator/Data Analyst, will directly impact data-driven actions at TEI. You will lead the charge to establish effective data governance standards and meet our data analysis needs, while also rapidly creating new insights through data for the organization.
The AMS Administrator/Data Analyst will be expected to lead efforts in forming data governance standards for NetForum and migrating those standards to any future AMS platforms. You will serve as the central source for reporting membership, events, and sponsorship trends from database transactions, ensuring our association leaders are able to make data-driven strategic decisions to help grow the organization and reach a broader audience of tax professionals. Even though you report to the Director of Information Technology & Web Services, on any given day you may be working with our membership team, or the marketing department, or even our chapter leaders. You will not just be sitting at your desk, but you will be interacting with your colleagues daily to help TEI serve its members and grow. If you don’t like interfacing directly with people, then this job is not for you.
Your responsibilities will include:
Serving as the primary database administrator for TEI’s AMS (NetForum Enterprise).
Managing ongoing AMS enhancement projects and identifying areas for improvement.
Developing and maintaining custom NetForum reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Responsibility for troubleshooting technical issues, bugs, or errors encountered by staff.
Creating new fields, forms, and wizards within NetForum as needed.
Assisting in testing customizations and 3rd party integrations to the AMS.
Providing training and writing documentation (SOPs) for staff to ensure consistent use of the database, according to data governance standards.
Monitoring and administering association management system security, In coordination with the Director of IT. This involves adding and removing users, auditing security groups, and checking for security problems.
Managing projects related to AMS SSO or integration with other platforms.
Assisting with the design and interconnectivity of web-database applications.
Coordinating data exchanges between TEI and its partners through API integrations and data imports from various platforms.
Communicating with staff regularly on systems initiatives and upgrade statuses.
Developing and maintaining internal processes to ensure accuracy of the data in the AMS, and being responsible for overall data integrity.
Working with a data analytics solution to create ad hoc and regularly delivered reports for use by other departments, to inform strategy and execute on member and marketing initiatives.
Recommending, documenting, and communicating data definitions, data-related business rules, data trends, and testing methods.

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant professional field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in database administration; or theequivalent combination of education and experience, including a relevant certification.
Proficiency in NetForum Enterprise (eWeb and iWeb).
Proficiency in Transact-SQL, SQL Server, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
A fundamental awareness of website content management systems.
A fundamental awareness of the technology project management process.
Proficiency in online community platforms (HigherLogic a plus).
An advanced skill level with Microsoft 365 applications.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
