This position works with staff, subject matter experts, faculty, and volunteers to design, implement and maximize the impact of AUGS’ educational programming to include in-person meetings, virtual and hybrid courses, enduring on-demand content and webinars.
Responsibilities:
Work in conjunction with the Senior Director of Education to develop a strategy for educational products and content delivery that advances and strengthens AUGS’ education portfolio and member experience.
Support scientific programming for the annual meeting to include the online abstract and session proposal processes, to and including system builds, testing, submission, review, and scheduling.
Direct, streamline and implement AUGS’ digital/virtual programs to increase member value and direct future programming.
Support onsite event operations including speaker coordination, registration assistance, facilities logistics and AV setup.
Work with program planning committees to develop educational content, learning objectives and identify faculty for continuing education courses.
Support the planning and operations of all other educational programming/events as assigned.
Serve as staff liaison to select committees which includes overall committee management, scheduling meetings, developing, and distributing meeting materials, participating in committee meetings, and documenting minutes and action items.
Work with the staff to support marketing and communications of educational programming (e.g. review email blasts and online and print programs).
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of three years of experience in supporting the development of educational programming (live, virtual, synchronous and asynchronous) preferably for scientific, medical, or health care professional societies.
Experience with meeting/events coordination and logistics.
Strong communication, writing, proof-reading, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a changing environment, manage and prioritize multiple projects and competing requests and deadlines.
Strong technical aptitude, including a high-level of comfort and familiarity with Web-based technologies in general and, ideally, with specific online education technologies (e.g., virtual meeting platforms, Zoom/webinar management, learning management systems, abstract management tools).
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Zoom and SharePoint.
Ability for occasional evening conference calls (1-2 times per month) and weekend travel (2-4 times annually).
Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
