Position Description
The North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) seeks a professional and energetic, detail-oriented, proactive self-starter to join its Education team.
The Education Coordinator coordinates NANS education efforts and assists its members with meeting their continuing professional development needs. The Education Coordinator is charged with supporting and assisting with the planning and implementation of educational content developed by the NANS Scientific Program Committee for the NANS Annual Meeting and educational programming from the Education Committee.
This position works under supervision of the Director of Education and works collaboratively with planning committees, colleagues, and contractors.
Essential Responsibilities
Assists, with direction from the Director of Education, in arranging meeting and conference calls with committees; develop and distribute agenda materials; draft and distribute meeting minutes to ensure follow-up of action items.
Coordinates the NANS Annual Meeting Call for Session Proposals including, communication to proposers, tracking of submitted proposals, and review of proposals.
Coordinates the NANS Annual Meeting Abstracts in the conference management system, including, but not limited to, set-up of Abstract Submission System, and review of abstracts.
Coordinates all aspects to the Annual Meeting speakers including, not limited to, speaker correspondence, set-up of the speaker management system, tracking of speaker deliverables, reports, review of speaker slides, and post-event wrap-up.
Assists Director of Education to ensure that NANS is compliant with ACCME standards. Currently NANS is not independently accredited to provide CME and works with the Congress of Neurological Surgeons to provide CME credits to program attendees.
Provides on-site support during the NANS Annual Meeting.
Provides administrative support and coordination of educational webinars which includes communication with volunteer speakers; setting up webinar registration; scheduling faculty rehearsals; and facilitation of Zoom Webinar during the actual event
Responds to member questions about CME credits, educational offerings, and other inquiries.
Some evening work is required in staffing meeting or managing webinars.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Location
NANS is a remote organization. Applicants may be based anywhere in the U.S.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time hourly position, with a 37.5-hour work week, Monday-Friday. We offer flexible work schedules.

Required Qualifications
At least two years of work experience
Detail-oriented self-starter who can prioritize and work independently
Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities within deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills with the ability to work professionally and effectively with staff, volunteers, members, and vendors tactfully and efficiently
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Teams
Tech savvy, able to learn new programs
Available to work some evenings for committee meetings
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in medical education or professional association
Knowledge of Zoom Webinar, abstracts and speaker management software, and SurveyMonkey
