The Association Management System (AMS) Manager is responsible for administering and configuring the AMS (netForum Enterprise) including providing staff and customer support. The AMS Manager practices continual self-learning to be the SDMS AMS subject matter expert, working closely with all departments to establish, manage, and document their AMS-related information needs, define technical requirements and procedures, query data, assist with report development, support bug fixes, and train staff on proper use of the AMS. The AMS Manager is responsible for continuous operational improvement, making recommendations to expand and increase AMS functionality.
Other responsibilities include:
Work with all SDMS departments and programmers to understand their respective needs and support seamless integrations and interactions between the AMS, learning management system (LMS), content management system (CMS), email management systems, etc.
Recommend and implement improvements in SDMS user and customer workflows and experiences including related quality assurance testing, troubleshooting, and bug fixing
Develop and document standard operating procedures for existing and new AMS configurations, processes, and integrations
Create and run queries for ad-hoc information retrieval as requested by various departments
Support SDMS reporting including modifying and creating reports in SSRS and Power BI as well as using SQL to better facilitate self-serve querying for all staff
Perform database-related tasks such as update database architecture, schemas, and utilities, build and maintain tables and stored procedures, apply permissions, and provide reports and scripts for task automation
Understand and recommend improvements to SDMS data governance (e.g., processes, roles, policies, standards, and metrics) in the AMS and related systems to ensure the quality and security of data
Work with all staff to improve data analytics including participating in the research and implementation of a data analytics system
Assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in reviewing, evaluating, and reporting on SDMS membership and customer data points
Requirements include:
At least 2-3 years’ experience working for a trade or professional association
At least 2-3 years’ experience with association management system (AMS) experience; netForum Enterprise experience preferred
Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
Strong, demonstrable Microsoft SQL Server database T-SQL skills including writing complex joins, queries, stored procedures, and functions
Project management experience including leading teams, adhering to timelines, documenting progress, and keeping projects within scope and budget
Knowledge of Power BI and SSRS preferred
Knowledge of AMS-related accounting processes preferred
Affinity for technical learning and ongoing adaptation
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications; Internet and technology savvy
