Who We Are: ABPANC, a 501(c)(6) not for profit organization was incorporated in 1985. The national headquarters for ABPANC is located at 1133 Broadway, Suite 715 New York, NY 10010. ABPANC offers two certification programs and credentials: CPAN® which stands for Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse CAPA® which stands for Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse Both credentials are federally registered certification marks. Additionally, both of the certification programs are nationally accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification, Inc. (ABSNC). As of August 9, 2023, there are 5,025 CPAN certified registered nurses and 6,767 CAPA certified registered nurses.
