Corporate Business Development Manager Position
As our business development manager, you will take the lead in expanding our membership through outreach and relationship building with executives at corporations, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to smaller firms from emerging industries. The good news is that as a non-political group that doesn’t just focus on one industry, we have a huge, global universe of potential members.
Responsibilities:
Head up corporate recruitment efforts.
Identify, cultivate, and track membership leads.
Work with membership team to design and execute strategies for engaging and retaining corporate members.
Qualifications:
Successful track record in business development or fundraising.
Expertise in membership marketing strategies.
Well-developed writing and public-speaking skills.
Known for delivering exceptional customer service.
Creativity, assertiveness, enthusiasm, and intelligence
A sales orientation, attention to detail, strong relationship-building skills, and a genuine interest in public affairs.
Bonus points for direct experience in public affairs or communications.
Work Environment and Benefits
You will work with membership team colleagues who manage our database, handle invoicing, and provide support for membership recruitment/retention activities. This position reports to the senior director of membership.
