The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s healthcare, is looking to fill a support role focusing on media relations. Responsibilities include facilitating interactions between journalists and AAP spokespersons; pitching new stories that highlight AAP child health priorities and recommendations; researching, writing, and editing news releases and other content; and contributing to the development of communication strategies and key messages for diverse audiences, including parents, members, and the news media.   Reporting to the Manager, Media Relations, some tasks include: Respond to media inquiries, including researching and providing information on AAP policies and recommendations.
