Our nation’s forestlands provide a wealth of public benefits, from clean air and water to plant and wildlife biodiversity, employment and recreational opportunities as well as a myriad of timber-based byproducts (to name a few!). Between increasing threats of wildfire and invasive species, State Foresters have their work cut out in protecting our nation’s forests and ensuring their sustainability for future generations. Our small team based in Washington, D.C. works in advocacy of our State Forester membership to elevate their critical work. Established in 1920, the National Association of State Foresters (NASF) is a non-profit organization composed of the directors
