The Education Specialist supports the Director of Education in developing live, virtual, and hybrid training and manages and maintains the AAOP Learning Management System (LMS). The Education Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing the LMS and will be responsible for driving the implementation of engaging, user-friendly educational content and experiences that align with organizational goals. This is a remote position.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain LMS including uploading new content, managing content, and troubleshooting with end users
Produce live, online events by working with the moderator to launch polls and engage attendees. Provide real-time technical assistance to speakers and attendees
Convert recorded, live educational content into interactive and engaging online courses using Articulate Rise and other software platforms.
Work with the Director of Education to translate the provided clinical and practice management content into online courses for the LMS.
Coordinate with technical resources as it pertains to live and recorded content at the Annual Meeting to ensure that content is captured in the appropriate format.
Coordinate Journal Club including record presentations, gather slides, quizzes, articles, upload to LMS, generate course descriptions and publish
Update LMS with current Journal Club offering so it’s accessible via the website
Provide onsite program assistance at the Annual Meeting
Create all Rising Professional and Fellow First Friday meeting recordings including recording, editing, and posting on the website
Update the online learning catalogue and curate content for university programs
Primary point of contact for CEU reporting issues, including finding CEUs and assisting with missing CEUs
SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Outstanding organization and project management skills
Significant LMS experience (Path LMS preferred)
Experience with event management platforms (Cadmium preferred)
Experience with online course development platform (Articulate Rise preferred) and Association Management Systems (Novi AMS preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
High energy, with a passion for innovation and creating engaging educational experiences.
Must be a self-starter as well as an independent and creative thinker with a focus on details and the ability to initiate and complete projects independently
Must be able to travel to the Academy’s Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium
