The Association Manager position will have the following responsibilities:
Meeting and event planning for medical specialty societies managed by MedChi
Maintain effective relationships with several medical specialty societies
Provide staff support to help manage the daily operations
Bookkeeping, budget, and fiscal responsibility
Communicate with Board and Committee Members
Coordinate and work with others as a team
Manage timeline and deadlines
Attend meetings and take minutes
Various other administrative duties to include answering the phone, copying, data entry, mail and coordinating meetings
The candidate should have the following qualifications:
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a health care organization or a non-profit professional association
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communications skills
Able to produce professional level written materials
Experience working with an association management system
Efficient with Microsoft Office applications
Able to work nights and weekends to attend meetings
