*This position is located in Rosemont, IL, just outside of Chicago by O'Hare Airport. It requires the individual to be in-person 2x per week and does not provide a relocation package.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic individual with expertise in education development with a special focus on online education development to join our team as the Manager of Education Development. In this key role, you will leverage your expertise in education development and instructional course design to identify emerging market needs within the orthopaedic field. You will drive the creation, development and successful launch of innovative learning programs, directly contributing to non-dues revenue growth and increased member engagement within our LMS, Oasis. As a strategic business development role, your work will share the future of AANA’s educational offerings and ensure that AANA remains at the forefront of education in orthopaedics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Through market analysis, in concert with the Chief Operations and Business Development Officer and the VP, Education and Research, identify, develop and manage new education activities based on the needs and gaps of learners.
Actively seek out and leverage new technology to enhance the delivery of education programs for the purpose of increased revenue and engagement.
Routinely evaluate the effectiveness and content accuracy of online activities. In an effort to continuously improve educational activities, recommend enhancements, design improvements, and LMS interface changes for online offerings.
Responsible for project management of content development and execution which includes acting as one of the liaisons to Education Committee work groups convening calls with volunteers when needed and working collaboratively with other departments.
Using data-driven decision making, identify education products that can be sunset or refreshed based on Key Performance Indicators and user behavior.
Ensure educational programs reflect innovative trends in the minimally invasive orthopaedic surgery field.
Review and refine the product development process, work plan and production schedule to ensure consistency for all current and future educational offerings.
Provide key insights and recommendations to product leads to support marketing and communication efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree preferable in adult education or instructional design.
Working knowledge of adult learning principles.
Minimum of three years of experience in the management and administration of professional education programs, including curriculum development and demonstrated knowledge of the continuing education essentials and standards.
Proven experience coordinating/planning educational programs, preferably in an association.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Nature of work requires ability to operate standard office equipment. Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a hybrid environment offering a general office setting and your at-home work setup. Position requires availability for extended hours and non-traditional hours to perform job duties. Same day and overnight travel might be required to participate at AANA events.
