AAOMS POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Online Continuing Education Associate
STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Continuing Education Director
OVERVIEW
The Continuing Education (CE) Associate is responsible for assistance in planning and developing online clinical education content, as well as oversight of the AAOMS CE Online library. The CE Associate also supports the CE department in the planning and delivery of education at the Annual Meeting and Dental Implant Conference, and any other clinically focused educational program sponsored by the Association. The CE Associate also helps identify opportunities for new programs with the Committee on Continuing Education and Professional Development (CCPED) members and other staff to deliver top-tier education to AAOMS members.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Oversee all content in the CE Online library.
Assist with planning, development, and implementing ongoing scientific and continuing education programs in compliance of ACCME/ADA CERP/AGD Continued Recognition of AAOMS as an accredited CE Provider.
Assist in the development and coordination of new scientific programs as necessary.
Coordinate proofing of various publications for department (advance/final programs, online education marketing, AAOMS Today, Resident Newsletter, etc.)
Respond to member inquiries via phone and email and maintain a member inquiry tracking log.
Manage clinical, practice management, coding, resident and joint webinars with external organizations
Generate reports on revenue/expense, registration, trends, etc.
Provide staff support to the Committee on Continuing Education and Professional Development (CCEPD), CE Online Taskforce and related subcommittees as needed.
Assist with the production of the Annual Meeting and Dental Implant Conference.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Oversee CE Online library
Add and maintain all CE Online offerings including: clinical, practice management, coding and resident programming.
Responsible for keeping AAOMS’ CE Online site up to date.
Oversee the promotion of clinical content.
Track sales and report trends.
Generate revenue/expense, registration and other reporting.
Work with data analyst for activity analysis reporting when necessary.
Handle all phone inquiries for CE Online on-demand and webinars, including site navigation, purchase assistance and product questions.
Coordinate with Finance on product transfer requests, following through to ensure product is accessible.
Compile evaluations and other data received for each educational activity and provide results to speakers, appropriate committees and staff.
Coordinate all live webinars
Work with committee and/or online taskforce to select topics and speakers, assist in determining yearly curriculum based on information compiled on previous webinars and CE Online Educational content.
Speaker management to include contract, training, presentation and handout collection and quiz creation.
Add and maintain all live webinars offered on vendor-hosted site including clinical, practice management, coding and resident programs.
Coordinate webinars with external organizations i.e. other dental specialties.
Oversee the promotion of clinical webinars.
Track sales and report trends.
Assist with planning, developing, and implementation of all ongoing scientific and continuing education programs
Schedule online education programs for AAOMS scientific/clinical educational program
Assist with compliance of ACCME/ADA CERP/AGD Continued Recognition of AAOMS as an accredited CE Provider.
Increase knowledge of ACCME/ADA CERP guidelines.
Contact and confirmspeakers for online educational programs.
Process speaker reimbursements while following AAOMS policies, coordinate presentation requirements, handout materials, and letters/certificates.
Assist the CE Director as needed to edit/prepare educational session course objectives for post-meeting evaluation.
Provide initial Annual Meeting and Dental Implant Conference program content for dissemination on the AAOMS web site, print materials and update information regularly with the communications department staff.
Utilize the electronic speaker and meeting management system to coordinate clinical speaker correspondence, required paperwork and session planning
Generate the necessary reports for Committee on Continuing Education and Professional Development, Board of Trustees & AAOMS Publications as needed.
Facilitate CE transcripts as necessary for members.
Provide staff support to related Committees/Task Forces as needed
Perform other similar or related duties as requested or assigned by the Continuing Education Director.
Salary Range $65,000-$70,000 per year
