The Education Manager oversees the development, implementation, and accreditation of CME/CE certified activities for LUGPA (Large Urology Group Practice Association). This position requires comprehensive management of all educational programming, including needs assessments, design, budgeting, funding acquisition, marketing, execution, and evaluation of educational activities
Essential Requirement: The ideal candidate must have significant experience working with medical societies, particularly in continuing medical education program development. Experience in urology or related specialty societies is a plus.
The Manager must possess thorough knowledge of ACCME accreditation requirements, ACCME Standards for Independence and Integrity, and AMA credit systems. This role is critical for enhancing LUGPA's mission, increasing its visibility, and expanding its accredited educational offerings.
This position collaborates with internal teams, committees, faculty, and educational partners to ensure all programming meets the required accreditation standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently manage the development and delivery of LUGPA educational content, leading project teams of subject matter experts, staff, and stakeholders
Develop comprehensive proposals, timelines, and budgets for educational projects
Conduct thorough learning needs assessments in collaboration with the Education Committee
Serve as principal staff liaison to LUGPA's Education Committee
Coordinate with industry partners to develop programming accessible to LUGPA members
Design and implement educational experiences for LUGPA's annual conference and other CME/CE events
Manage program materials using abstract and speaker management platforms
Oversee LUGPA's UroMA program (online training for medical assistants)
Collaborate with the Industry Relations team to develop grant proposals for educational funding
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Experience
Minimum 2+ years experience working with medical societies or medical specialty organizations
Experience in developing, managing and executing in-person educational programs
Experience in developing, managing and executing digital programming
Comprehensive knowledge of CME/CE accreditation requirements
Demonstrated experience in managing high-volume workflow
Proven track record in instructional design or educational program development
Experience in grant writing for CME activities
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Experience working with committees and subject matter experts

During the early 2000’s physician leaders of integrated urology practices began to recognize the need for a formal association to help prepare them for the challenges of the future. In 2008, the Large Urology Group Practice Association (LUGPA) was established with the purpose of enhancing communication among large groups, allowing for the benchmarking of operations, enhancing communication among large groups, allowing for the benchmarking of operations, promoting quality clinical outcomes, developing growth opportunities, and improving advocacy in the legislative and regulatory arenas.
