About the Role
The Certification Manager plays a vital role in the execution and management of initial certification and recertification processes for multiple certification boards, including the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing, ABNN, (CNRN, SCRN), Rehabilitation Nursing Certification Board, RNCB, (CRRN) and Hospice Medical Director Certification Board, HMDCB, (HMDC). This role is responsible for supporting certification candidates, managing exam windows, processing audits, handling communications, and performing data entry across platforms including TopClass, Personify, Re:Members, and BadgeCert.
Responsibilities:
ABNN (CNRN & SCRN Certification and Recertification)
Assist candidates with exam scheduling, postponements, and eligibility.
Troubleshoot exam issues with Professional Service Industries (PSI) and manage candidate audit communications.
Pull and reconcile exam result reports from PSI and TopClass.
Create hospital registration program orders and related invoicing.
Annually create and maintain exam windows in TopClass.
Maintain certification and recertification pricing and records in Personify.
Monitor digital badges via Credly and troubleshoot customer access questions.
Manually manage audits, including reminders, supervisor notifications, and failures.
Process inactive, retired, and alumnus status paper applications and enter them into TopClass and Personify.
Process orders related to foundation grant recipients and check payments.
Assist data team with certificate reprint orders.
Monitor and manage customer service inbox.
Assist Member Services team with caller support and troubleshooting.
RNCB (CRRN Certification and Renewal)
Import exam results and issue digital badges via TopClass and BadgeCert.
Manage daily emails from customer service inbox related to eligibility, audits, and renewals.
Manage audit process.
Process inactive, retired, and paper applications.
Maintain pricing and deadlines in Personify and TopClass.
Prepare and manage renewal tracking reports and communications.
Enter and maintain status records and handle late renewals.
Generate finance reports for accounting purposes.
HMDCB (HMDC Certification and Recertification)
Update certification status in TopClass based on exam results.
Verify medical licenses and certifications for audits.
Manage reporting.
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain and report on exam statistics and analytics.
Streamline and standardize processes across all certification programs.
Grant administrative access to new Member Services staff in TopClass and BadgeCert.
Train new staff on Personify and Re:Members (5–6 sessions per year) and general certification processes.
Update certification summary files and collaborate with the account team on annual pricing and handbook reviews.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in certification, credentialing, or related program support.
Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new web-based tools.
Professional demeanor and sound judgment when interacting with staff and vendors.
Experience with marketing or social media is a plus.
Team-oriented, proactive, and detail-focused.
Ability to travel 3-6 times per year, by all modes of transportation including car, plane and train.
Physical: primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended computer use. Work involves sitting, talking, hearing, and typing, with visual acuity required for keyboard usage, data analysis, and computer terminal operation. Occasional light lifting may be necessary. ABNN is an independent, not-for-profit corporation established to design, implement, and evaluate a certification program for professional nurses involved in the specialty practice of neuroscience nursing and its subspecialties.
RNBC is an independent, not-for-profit corporation established to design, implement, and evaluate a certification program for professional nurses involved in the specialty practice of rehabilitation nursing and its subspecialties.
HMDCB is an independent, not-for-profit certifying body to design, implement, and evaluate a certification program for hospice medical directors and hospice physicians.

Compensation:
$60-$70K annually. Within this range, individual pay is determined by relevant factors, including job-related skills, experience, market data, work location, and education or training.
Location:
This is a hybrid role in Schaumburg, IL. Employees who reside within 50 miles of the office are expected to work onsite one day per month. At times, there may be circumstances that require additional visits to the office.
Candidates who live more than 50 miles from the office, including in and out of IL, may be considered for a remote opportunity. Out of state applicants may be eligible for hire, depending on the state in which they reside.
