Our mission is to connect and convene senior executive women to create meaningful cross-sector relationships, expand their presence in board and C-level roles, and harness their collective power to improve the industry.
About the Role
The Membership & Sponsorship Coordinator is a key member of our team and plays an important role in supporting our team and the senior executive women we serve.
This is a part-time role (3 days/week, approximately 23 hours/week) and is ideal for an early-career professional who’s excited to contribute to a mission-driven organization and grow their skills in membership programs, events, operations, and stakeholder support.
We’re looking for someone who is organized, proactive, warm, and tech-savvy.
This is a highly customer-focused position that supports two departments—Membership and Sponsorship—working closely with our members and partners to help them get the most out of WBL.
The role will provide administrative, project management, data management, and planning support for the Membership and Sponsorship teams. There is a lot of variety in the role, which is ideal for an early career individual who is looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.
About the Role
Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
Serve as a friendly point of contact for inbound member questions via email and phone, including membership, events, and general WBL inquiries
Support the Membership team by reaching out to prospects, members up for renewal, and others as requested by the Membership Director
Assist with reporting and deliverables for the Board and Membership-related committees
Use our Salesforce database to track member updates, manage data integrity, and support membership renewal requests (especially when issues arise beyond self-service)
Support the Sponsorship team with event registrations, renewals, and other partner-related coordination
Assist with mission-driven projects tied to member benefits, including compiling board candidate lists and supporting other initiatives that advance WBL’s work
Help keep projects moving forward through strong follow-up, tracking, and coordination across multiple priorities
We’re looking for someone who is energized by working with people and systems—someone who can be both polished and personable, while also being detail-oriented behind the scenes.
Experience working in a membership department or with membership or subscription programs is a huge plus.
Ideal qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of professional work experience
Interest in membership programs, events, customer experience, and/or nonprofit operations
Mission-driven and service-oriented mindset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills (project management experience is a plus)
Comfortable learning and using technology tools and CRM systems (Salesforce experience is a major plus)
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with good judgment and discretion
Ability to work independently and manage work plans from start to finish
Flexible, energetic, and a true self-starter who enjoys variety and teamwork
