Position Overview
This is an integral, front-line position that supports the organization by performing daily operations and duties that support ACVIM certification programs and guide ACVIM candidates through the process of becoming a Board-certified Diplomate. This position will work closely with the Senior Manager and requires heavy collaboration with all C&A team members, as well as cross-functional collaboration within the organization. The C&A Accreditation Specialist works in close partnership with candidates, volunteer committee members, and outside vendors to ensure all activities, requirements and deadlines of the programs are met.

Essential Functions
Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the ACVIM Board-certification processes.
Responsible for the ongoing tracking and maintenance ofcandidate progress and serving as primary point of contact while guiding Candidates throughout the certification process.
Serve as a staff liaison to volunteer committees involved with the C&A programs.
Communicate via email and phone regularly to answer questions and facilitate communication between candidates and appropriate volunteer committees.
Maintain vendor relationships.
Process registrations, fees, submissions, and paperwork pertaining to the C&A programs.
Works with test development partners and volunteers to operationalize each phase of the exam development process, including but not limited to item writing, item review, form development and standard setting.
Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as directed, under the guidance of the Senior Director and/or Senior Manager, to ensure C&A programs are efficient, specifically with candidate onboarding, examination and testing program, and credentialing.
Assist with updates of website pages associated with the C&A programs to ensure accurate content in a timely manner.
Achieve and maintain subject matter expertise in all certification platforms/software programs.
Assist with ongoing development and maintenance of C&A tracking platform.
Maintain policies and procedures related to C&A programs.
Education and Experience:
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Project management and/or exam development experience preferred.
Certification and/or association industry experience preferred.
A minimum of 5 years office administration experience, preferably in certification/accreditation, a membership association or nonprofit organization.
Skills/Knowledge:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of volunteer management and prior experience serving as a staff liaison to committees.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and respond to a high volume of inquiries quickly.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite and solid working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro, experience with association management and online community software preferred; ability to learn new software applications with relative ease.
Discriminating attention to detail and proficiency working autonomously, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
