Job Responsibilities:
This Manager, Council on Ethics, Bylaws & Judicial Affairs Outreach will be responsible for maintaining and advancing the ethics activities of the Council on Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs (CEBJA or the Council), including identifying, analyzing, and advising on complex ethics issues; managing the Council’s ethics-related subcommittees; drafting Council reports; editing and assisting Council members in authoring and editing ethics publications; developing, implementing and overseeing ethics programming for members, dental schools, and constituent and component societies; collaborating with other agencies and organizations on ethics issues to ensure that the reputation of the Association as an ethics-based organization is maintained and augmented.
Must-Have:
Advanced degree (Masters in Ethics or Bioethics or JD) and a minimum of 3 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Experience must include business or association experience principally associated with the development and application of ethical or compliance standards as applied in a professional setting
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent research, oral and written communication skills, service orientation, and excellent proofreading skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Must be available for some evening and weekend work/meetings
Must be available to attend the Association’s annual meeting (4-5 days) and 2-3 other business trips (each 1-2 days) per year.
