Summary
This position’s primary responsibility will involve work in continuing education and standards management. A member of the Scientific Affairs unit that implements efforts to support organizational priorities and activities within the Career Advancement department. Supports unit efforts with a focus on departmental contributions to the scientific strategy for the Association. Supports preparation of compliance requirements, continuing education standards and documents and seeks out opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities. Effective champion of the Association vision, mission, and brand.
Essential Functions
Manages customer service activities related to the APTA Learning Center.
Contributes to implementing strategies (e.g., customer service, finance, operations, CEU policy and standards, systems and data integration, membership, education and certification, and business operations) for the Association.
Accountable for meeting performance expectations and metrics for department and respective budget activities.
Provides recommendations on advancing operations within the department to gain efficiencies, grow revenue, and provide stewardship of association resources.
Contributes to quality assurance and continuous quality/performance improvement in department activities, including supporting department and unit leaders in annual assessments of respective budget activities described above.
Provides department level data which supports and aligns with the APTA data strategy.
Implements work plans related to respective activities of the Career Advancement department which align with organizational priorities and the Association’s scientific strategy.
Prepares and completes required departmental compliance forms, CEU applications, including ensuring required information is accurate for timely submission of all required forms.
Supports the Scientific Affairs team in the implementation of the Association’s programs, priorities, and projects in partnership with department leader and staff colleagues.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 3 years' association or equivalent experience.
LMS experience required.
Knowledge of CEU application and approval processes.
Leadership and organizational management experience preferred.
Project management skills a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to represent Association to a variety of external audiences and stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal skills; collegial, with the ability to develop productive relationships.
Strong computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office.
