Position: Marketing Manager FLSA Classification: Exempt Position reports to: Director of Membership, Marketing, and Communications
Position Summary:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote DMEC’s membership and educational products. This position ensures the achievement of growth goals and increased brand awareness through the execution of marketing best practices and is proficient in creating data-driven, integrated marketing campaigns. This position exhibits leadership skills and displays DMEC’s core values. The position requires minimal supervision and works collaboratively in cross-functional teams and with people of all skill levels and positions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and implements an integrated marketing strategy for membership, conferences, microcredentials, certifications, and webinars. Understands and leverages appropriate marketing mix and ideas to drive revenue and create a valuable member/customer experience.
Analyzes and reports results of all campaign channels and makes recommendations for campaign improvements and adjustments.
Creates, manages, and executes successful marketing campaigns utilizing the Pardot marketing automation platform and monitors reports, trends, and engagement to drive funnel advancement.
In partnership with the Communications Manager, writes engaging copy for product positioning statements, website pages, email campaigns, and digital ads, ensuring consistency in brand voice and messaging across all touchpoints.
Reviews marketing communications ensuring consistent use of DMEC brand guidelines.
Designs a wide range of visual content, including social media assets, email banners, infographics, presentations, and promotional materials aligned with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
Provides back up support to the Communications Manager for social media posts
Manages email campaigns and develops email testing and segmentation when appropriate.
Serve as webmaster for the organization’s website (WordPress), with primary responsibility for strategic planning, optimization, maintenance, and ongoing reporting and evaluation.
Ensures articulate, accurate, and consistent communication (across all channels and segments) to promote DMEC’s image and position within the industry.
Guides use and evolution of brand, voice, and style guidelines to maintain consistency and freshness.
Monitors market and competitive research and industry trends to guide marketing messaging, pricing, and member/customer programs.
Collaborates with colleagues and senior management to ensure that product-specific initiatives align with DMEC’s overall business strategy. Participates in the development, execution, and promotion of new products and services as they are released.
Works with internal teams to improve the management, data quality, and utilization of DMEC’s CRM, webinar, and LMS technology systems.
As needed, collaborates with and oversees engagement with external vendors to develop marketing materials and membership and lead generation resources.
Manages the annual marketing budget, including forecast development, expense scheduling and monitoring, and variance analysis.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be a seasoned marketing professional with expertise in integrated marketing best practices (branding, segmentation, messaging, content marketing, digital design, email, direct mail, website, demand generation, media placement, etc.). Expert in all aspects of campaign creation, testing, analysis, and execution.
Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, and a team player.
Must be highly strategic and capable of consulting with internal staff to determine optimal marketing campaigns to achieve product and organizational goals.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and work well within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Must have demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to lead and work very effectively within and across departments.
Must have strong analytical skills – able to track marketing campaign results, cross-tabulate various data sources, review data from different angles, and make improvement suggestions.
Must have excellent communication and written skills coupled with the ability to craft value propositions, benefit outlines, feature descriptions, direct marketing copy with calls-to-action, and other messages that resonate with various market segments.
Must be able to work effectively with external designers to produce quality campaign materials that reinforce the message and the brand.
Must be adept with CRM and marketing automation systems, including Salesforce, Nimble AMS and Pardot (Marketing Cloud Engagement).
Experienced with Google Analytics, WordPress, and Hootsuite monitoring platforms
Must have website content management experience and basic HTML skills
Must be skilled with business tools, including Microsoft (Word, Excel, PPT, SharePoint, Excel, etc.)
Must have strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, assimilate feedback from multiple stakeholders, and adhere to tight deadlines.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
4+ years of experience in membership, marketing, and/or communications.
Experience managing multiple social media channels for an organization and marketing campaigns.
Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Office, data analytics software, and CRM systems.
Salesforce, Nimble AMS and Pardot (Marketing Cloud Engagement) experience required.
Strong experience in project management
Work Environment:
This is a remote position. A quiet home office is required.
Travel one to three times per year for conferences and events may be required.
Benefits:
Base salary range: $67,502 – 91,327 annually?
This is a summary of the current basic employment benefits. Individual benefit programs may be amended or deleted at management’s sole discretion at any time. An employee handbook will be provided to you for more complete benefit information about DMEC’s benefit plans upon hire.
Employees are eligible on the date of hire for the following benefits:
40 hours of paid sick leave per calendar year, unless a greater amount is required under state of local law
4.62 vacation hours accrued per pay period (3 weeks per year)
40 hours of bereavement leave
401K retirement plan with 100% company match up to 4% of salary
Flexible spending accounts
Eight (8) holidays, plus your birthday (floating holiday); in addition, the DMEC office is closed for two days following each in-person conference (2 conferences per year), and Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day each year (employees will be paid for any workdays that fall during that period)
Employees become eligible for group health and welfare benefits on the first of the month after completion of 30 days of employment.
Fully paid health, dental, vision, group life, and disability insurance (short-term and long-term)
Employees are eligible on the first of the month following 60 days of employment for the following benefits:
80 hours of Paid Family Leave per year
Equipment DMEC will provide the necessary computer equipment (laptop and printer) for the employee’s home office as well as a monthly technology stipend of $100.
