Job Overview
The SGO currently has an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented self-starter with administrative and logistical support skills to join SGO’s Meetings and Education team as the Coordinator. We are looking for an individual to bring their attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills to our fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The successful incumbent will see the big picture and embrace change to ensure they meet their goals and the goals of the SGO and FWC.
The ideal candidate will live in or near Chicago with the ability to work at the SGO headquarters office as needed.
What You Will Do
The Meetings and Education Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Meetings and Education team, managing departmental email inboxes; coordinating internal and external meetings, including scheduling, agendas, meeting notes, and follow-up on action items; organizing and maintaining meetings and education related digital filing systems; data entry; and assisting with invoice processing and expense tracking. In addition, the Coordinator will provide administrative support to meetings and conferences, assisting with registration and housing; preparing and shipping meetings materials; and supporting speaker and affiliate communications. This position will also support webinar and online education logistics; assist with program participant documentation; organize program evaluation data and attendance reports; and maintain participant data and communications.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer competitive compensation commensurate with experience. The hiring range for this position is $27.50 to $29.00 hourly. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, and short- and long-term disability benefits; vacation time, sick time, 11 named holidays and 3 floating holidays, and parental leave.

Requirements for Success
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of administrative or clerical experience, ideally in a nonprofit or association setting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with databases and virtual meeting tools a plus. Experience with learning management systems a plus.
